Erté. Fascino e seduzione Déco
25th July – 28th October 2001 This exhibition evoked the multifarious creative vicissitude of Romain de Tirtoff, more known as Erté, the renowned Maestro of Art Deco. Celebrity and brilliant artist, Erté was a multitalented genius, painter, scenographer, illustrator as well as a costume, fashion and jewellery designer. His paintings, sculptures, gouaches, jewellery, objets d’art and the famous e Alphabet were displayed. The set design was inspired by the period in order to make visitors feel as if they were ‘immersed’ in a typical environment of the nineteen twenties.The exhibition was curated by
