17th December 2002 - 23rd March 2003 The exhibition featured works of the most important twentieth century artists who employed clay’s ductile means of expression to create works of art. The chronological exploration of the whole of the last century demonstrates the complexity of their expressive research. From Balla’s futurism to video-installations, pottery detaches the link with utility objects which applied arts still maintain and directly renders the artist’s stroke that, with no mediation, is impressed in the substance giving a great freedom of expression.The exhibition was curated by
