ORI D’ARTISTA. IL GIOIELLO NELL’ARTE ITALIANA 1900-2004 (Artists’ Jewellery - Jewellery in Italian Art 1900)

30th March 2004 – 27th June 2004 This exhibition contemplated both precious jewellery and experimental jewellery made in plastic, iron or common objects. The exhibition featured more than one hundred and fifty pieces of jewellery made by well known artists such as Afro, Caporossi, Fontana, Giò e Arnaldo Pomodoro or by young emerging artists. Each artist approached jewellery in a very personal way, either by applying their artistic research to the materials used or by analysing the meaning, use or social and anthropological content of a jewel.
