UMBERTO MASTROIANNI. SCULTORE EUROPEO (UMBERTO MASTROIANNI European Sculptor)

15th November 2005 – 26th February 2006 This exhibition briefly demonstrated the artistic course of Umberto Mastroianni, one of the most important Italian sculptors of the twentieth century, ranging from the sketch for the ‘Deposition’ (1928) to the Magic Theatre XII (1998). The exhibition featured works in all the materials used by this worthy successor of Constatin Brancusi: Bronze, marble, wood, wax, gold, silver, tapestries, steel, brass, terracotta, glass, mosaics, plastic and textiles. Great Italian artist and Maestro, Umberto Mastroianni was distinguished for his constant experimental and innovating research.
