Fondazione Roma-Arte-Musei

Fondazione Roma Arte-Musei
The Fondazione Roma Arte-Musei, in brief ‘Musarte’ was established in order to improve the organisation of the activities performed by the Fondazione Roma in the field of culture.
Since its establishment in 1999, over thirty-five temporary exhibitions have been held - in partnership with the most prestigious museums in Italy and abroad - by the Fondazione Roma which has two facing exhibition galleries, in Palazzo Sciarra and Palazzo Cipolla, located on Rome’s central Via del Corso that exhibit, respectively, classic and contemporary art.
As well as Fondazione Roma, the Fondazione Roma Arte-Musei consists of the Fondazione Roma – Mediterraneo and the Fondazione Roma Terzo Settore. This Foundation is a non-profit institution which, aware that the various forms and expressions of art and culture play a leading role in the full development of an individual, has the purpose of promoting and accomplishing artistic and cultural projects.
The Fondazione Roma Arte-Musei operates in five cultural fields which correspond to five different Muses: Visible Arts, Poetry, Music, Theatre and Publishing. The Foundation creates and implements both permanent and temporary activities related to the museum and exhibitions; literary, musical and theatrical projects; social events such as conferences, investigations, training courses and popular and tourist educational discussions.
It also operates in the field of publishing, producing artistic and cultural publications and multimedia items.
The Foundation’s projects aim to increase Italy’s artistic and cultural offer and are managed either independently or in partnership with private and public, national and international, bodies and institutions whose projects and plans pursue purposes consistent with its own.
